Our Outreach efforts provide multiple channels for our membership to express and deepen its compassion by giving love, time and resources to the greater Northeast Ohio Community and beyond. 

Annual Backpack Program

Heights Emergency Food Center

Below is a sampling of previous Renaissance Unity outreach efforts:2016 Backpack Program: provided 60 filled backpacks for school-age children of the International Services Center

  • 2016 Heights Emergency Food Center: collected 251 lbs of food adn household goods and $1285 in monetary donations
  • 2015 Heights Emergency Food Center: collected 253 lbs of food and household goods and $1395 in monetary donations
  • 2015 Backpack Program: provided 150 filled backpacks for elementary through high school students in need associated with the Boys & Girls Club
  • 2014 Backpack Program: provided 151 filled backpacks for elementary through high school students in need associated with the Boys & Girls Club
  • 2013 Backpack Program: provided backpacks to high school students in need
  • 2013: designed, installed and maintained the McGregor Nursing Home Garden for residents
  • 2013: served retired veterans at the Louis B. Stokes Cleveland VA Hospital
  • wrote letters to our men and women in uniform overseas
  • collected eyeglasses for New Eyes for the Needy
  • shared lunch and fellowship with the St. Augustine community of those who experience vision and hearing loss,
  • celebrated Sunday service and song with Antioch Christian Fellowship Church and then shared a potluck meal
  • created and distributed backpacks for school children in East Cleveland
  • collected, packed and distributed Thanksgiving food 'baskets' to families in East Cleveland
  • sorted and packed unused and donated medical supplies for Medwish International
  • enjoyed several evenings filled with board games and fun with children from New Life Community
