Rev. David Byrley
Rev. David Byrley has served as our Spiritual Leader since July 1, 2022, and brings a grounded, welcoming presence to Renaissance Unity of Northeast Ohio.
Rooted in the teachings of Unity and the New Thought tradition, Rev. David is deeply engaged in living and sharing the spiritual principles taught by Unity co-founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. His messages are practical, thoughtful, and designed to help people apply spiritual ideas in everyday life—not just on Sundays.
Before coming to Renaissance Unity, Rev. David served at Unity of Medina as both Assistant Minister and later Spiritual Leader. His connection there also included years of lay leadership, including service on the Board of Trustees and as Board President. These experiences shape his collaborative and action-oriented approach to ministry.
Rev. David is known for blending gentleness with strength. He brings a prayerful, thoughtful presence to worship and ceremonies, drawing from a wide range of spiritual and interfaith experiences. His background in the business world also informs his leadership style, helping him pair big vision with practical follow-through.
Ordained through Madonna Ministries International, Rev. David is currently participating in Unity Worldwide Ministries’ Special Dispensation program as he continues his journey toward Unity ordination.
