Our Mission, Vision & Values

Renaissance Unity of Northeast Ohio

We are a vibrant, joyful, God-centered church community spiritually aligned with Unity, the home of our spiritual movement. We offer a positive, practical approach to spirituality that honors each person as a unique expression of God. We embrace the universal truths found in all religions and value teachings rooted in compassion, forgiveness, sacred service, and love as the foundation of an authentic spiritual life.

Our Spiritual Affirmation

"There is only one Presence and one Power in my life and in the Universe — God the Good, Omnipotence." This core tenet emphasizes that God is the source and creator of all, infinitely powerful, inherently good, and available at the spiritual center of every person. It is Unity's first principle and serves as the foundation for the other four basic Unity principles (see About Unity).

Our Community Affirmation

We are a dynamic fellowship, centered in the active spiritual practice of love, truth, gratitude and service to others.

Our Mission

Transforming lives through a consciousness of love.

Our Vision

We envision an inclusive world, where minds, hearts, and hands are connected in raising the global consciousness of love.

Our Values

We at Renaissance Unity are aligned with Unity, a center of spiritual light for people of the world. Our values reflect who we are and how we live our mission. We are a diverse, inclusive and accepting community grounded in "oneness". We inspire and awaken one another to the Divine within. We embrace innovation and seek continuous improvement in all we do. We cultivate a spirit of collaboration, growth, and accountability, and we serve one another, our broader community, and all those we are called to support. We welcome all people regardless of race, color, gender, age, creed, religion, national origin, ethnicity, physical disability, or sexual orientation. Learn more about Unity principles and values at Unity - About Us.

Our 2026 Theme is "Be That Someone!"

It is the idea that our focus is to “be that someone” not by striving to be heroes, but rather through growing in being a host for Grace, that Grace does not land on our doing—it lands as we Practice the Presence of God. As the year 2026 unfolds, may Renaissance Unity be known NOT for carrying everything, but for being the place where God’s healing Grace is landing and moving freely among us.
